The Euclid Launch kit is an interactive brochure with 23 pages of illustrated infographics about the scientific and technological themes of the Euclid space telescope mission. Juice and Euclid were launched with only a few months in between, so we worked on both projects in parallel. Since the Euclid spacecraft will explore dark matter and energy, we had fewer visual references to compose the graphics, which was more difficult than designing for a planetary mission, for instance. Together with the responsible editor, we brainstormed to extract the messages into metaphoric icons such as a falling apple to represent fundamental physics law or a compass for geometry. When the only alternative was using a block of text, we inclined the text, inspired by the Star Wars movie intro. The idea was to add some unperceptive funny space references that people would possibly understand. We had very positive feedback from the scientists and social media re-posts. The infographics can be downloaded as images and most pages are linked to external information on related webpages, linked to ESA images gallery, videos and animations. The document was translated in six languages.
